  11.             The Internet is home to a wide variety of data archives.  In
  12.             this  section we try to list the more important and the more
  13.             uncommon archives.  In particular, we do not  list  archives
  14.             of  mailing lists, other than those that do software distri-
  15.             butions.  Such archives can be located by asking  the  main-
  16.             tainers of the mail lists.
